The psychological support specialist, K.A. Sagyndykova, conducted a training session titled "Overcoming Cultural Shock" for students of the preparatory department at Shakarim University.
As a result of participating in the training, students were able to:
1. Reflect on their own experiences
- Students recalled their first encounters with a different culture, sharing their emotions and the difficulties they faced.
- This fostered mutual understanding and empathy within the group.
2. Gain experience through group work and discussion
- Through group exercises and role-playing games, students developed skills in expressing their opinions, listening to others, and making collective decisions.
3. Open the path to self-awareness and personal growth
- Participants learned to recognize their inner emotions and identified their own adaptation resources.
- They explored their cultural roots more deeply and learned to value them.
4. Gain practical experience through exercises and case studies
- Role-plays, discussions, and the analysis of real-life situations helped students develop the ability to solve practical problems effectively.
